A full-time, onsite Occupational Therapist (OT) position is available within an elementary school setting in New Castle, DE. This role involves providing comprehensive school-based OT services to students in Early Years and elementary programs, supporting their developmental and functional needs in the academic environment. The contract runs through June 12, 2026, offering stability and the opportunity to impact young learners educational experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy interventions to students in Early Years and elementary school settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement student-centered treatment plans.
- Conduct evaluations and document progress in compliance with school policies and state regulations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Maintain compliance with all licensure and school district requirements, including timely completion of fingerprinting and background checks.
Qualifications:
- Active Delaware Occupational Therapist license required; please provide verification with application.
- Proven experience in school-based occupational therapy, ideally working with early childhood and elementary-age students.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educational teams.
- Reliable transportation and comfortable commuting to the onsite location.
- Available to begin ASAP and commit to full-time hours (37.5 hrs/week, 8:45 AM 4:15 PM).
